Mark Lycette is a Senior Lecturer at RMIT University, Bachelor of Design (Animation), School of Design. Digital Media designer, leader and educator and expert in intersecting creative education with Sustainable Development Goals.
Mark has a significant record of achievement spanning both his academic and industry based careers. He was part of the founding of digital education in Australia and has led its development ever since, while maintaining an internationally recognised professional presence as a digital designer, artist and animator.
Mark Lycette is a designer in digital media. He was an Art Director at Nofrontiere GmbH (Austria) and founder and director of Lycette Bros. since 1997. Clients have included: Nickelodeon, KesselsKramer, Diesel, Sanrio, SBS Digital, XING, Melbourne International Film Festival, Australia Council for the Arts, University of Melbourne and ACMI.
He works in all aspects of digital media, specifically, animation, graphic design, games/apps, visualisation and fine arts.

In 2003 he co-wrote and for 15 years has led the Animation degree at RMIT University - it is ranked the number 1 animation degree in Australia and number 7 in the world (AnimationCareersReview 2023). He oversaw 30 staff and a student cohort of 500 students.
From 2019-20 he was Acting Associate Dean of the Digital Discipline (School of Design, RMIT University), encompassing four degrees, approximately 100 staff and 1500 students.
Marks cumulative experience of over 20 years of management includes: pedagogical oversite, student selection, staff employment and performance, international agreements (pathways and exchange), budget management (operating/capital expenditure, procurement, government/private research budgets). Documentation and representation at a Program Manager and Associate Dean level including multiple Annual Program reports, program rewrites and a Comprehensive Program Review (10-year external Government re-accreditation).
