Dr. Huey Wen Lim brings a unique interdisciplinary background in both Psychology and Engineering to the field of occupational safety, health, and wellbeing research. Her academic journey progressed from a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at HELP University, Malaysia, to a Master of Engineering and PhD from Tsinghua University, China. As a former McKenzie Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, her award-winning research explores the relationship between construction project practices and worker mental wellbeing, with particular focus on how innovative technologies impact workforce health in the evolving Construction 4.0 landscape. Her work has contributed evidence-based frameworks that assist industry partners in enhancing workforce mental wellbeing as they transition to Construction 4.0 and beyond. Her work was recognised and honoured with the 2023 CIB Keith Hampson Early Career Researcher-Industry Award. Her research reaches both academic and industry audiences through journal publications and international conferences, extending to mental health issues in the mining sector. She remains committed to fostering strong research-industry partnerships that transform health and safety practices and create sustainable solutions for the construction sector's most pressing challenges.
