About

Dr Ben Main AM is the Group Leader of Structures and Materials Experimentation at Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) and an Adjunct Industry Associate Professor at RMIT University. Ben has 25 years aerospace experience spanning a number of engineering and leadership roles. He holds a Bachelors, Masters and PhD in Aeronautical Engineering and an MBA. In 2015 Ben was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for his work in Defence aircraft engineering, sustainment and acquisition. Ben is currently the Australian National Delegate to the International Committee on Aeronautical Fatigue and Structural Integrity (ICAF).
