About

Susan is a social worker, social work educator and academic with 25 years of experience working alongside children, young people and families in the context of homelessness, family violence, disability and out-of-home-care. Her PhD research looks at the relationship between safe and secure housing and a 'good life' and how a capabilities approach can inform social work theory, policy and practice. Susan has taught into the social work, youth work, social sciences undergraduate degrees and is currently teaching group and community work, and critical social work with families in the Masters and Bachelor of Social Work programs.
