About

Dr Xi Sun earned his PhD in Civil Engineering from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in 2022, supported by the Australian Government RTP Scholarship. Upon completing his doctorate, he joined RMIT as a research fellow in Geotechnical Engineering while concurrently serving as a laboratory tutor for undergraduate courses. His research primarily focuses on unsaturated soil mechanics, field instrumentation and monitoring, climate-plant-soil-structure interactions, and the assessment of tree-induced structural damage.
