About

Sharon teaches in RMIT’s Graduate Certificate in Domestic and Family Violence, where she coordinates the Responding to Family Violence in Community and Justice Settings and Preventing Violence Against Women courses. She brings over fifteen years of experience in the family violence sector.

 

Industry experience
Prior to joining RMIT in 2019, Sharon coordinated the Domestic Violence Resource Centre’s Partners in Prevention network, worked in community health to develop place-based primary prevention initiatives, supported schools through the Victorian Department of Education to deliver Respectful Relationships Education, and managed the Strengthening Hospital Responses to Family Violence program at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

Alongside her academic role, Sharon is a certified Safe & Together trainer and continues to work with organisations to deliver professional family violence training, including with the Northern Integrated Family Violence Service, Berry Street Family Services, and Our Watch.
