Jacob Sheahan is a Research Fellow at the School of Health and Biomedical Sciences, drawing on a creative practice research background to explore the challenges of health, ageing, and care. Completing his PhD at RMIT University, exploring social engagement technologies in later life, Jacob has gone on to undertake a fellowship at the University of Edinburgh, unpacking the value of informal care in later life and how emerging technologies could support it. Returning to RMIT, he is now working with people experiencing long COVID and their health providers to build more inclusive models of care. His research interests focus on how we shape our care services to better address our increasingly complex health and ageing futures.
