About
Alyssa is a Lecturer in Criminology and Justice Sudies within RMIT's School of Global, Urban and Social Studies and a supervisor at the Bridge of Hope Innocence Initiative based at RMIT.
Alyssa is also admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Alyssa's research areas of interests include the role of racism in wrongful convictions and other miscarriages of justice, mental health related legal reform and post conviction review processes. She also has a interest in the scholarship of learning and teaching, focusing on innovative assessments of law students and work integrated learning pedagogies.
Alyssa is a PhD Candidate at Monash University researching defendants experiences of post conviction review processes in Australia.
