Dr Alvedi Sabani is the Interim Director of Programs in the College of Business and Law and an elected member of the RMIT University Academic Board.
He is an experienced academic leader with a strong track record in program strategy, curriculum transformation, digital innovation, and industry-engaged education. Across a range of senior leadership roles, he has led initiatives designed to strengthen program quality, enhance the student experience, and position education for the evolving needs of industry and society.
His previous leadership roles include program leadership with RMIT Online, Industry Engagement Director for the MBA and Executive MBA, and co-founder of the RMIT GamifiED Hub and InnovateED. He has also served as Theme Co-Leader for Multicultural Inclusion within the RMIT Centre for Organisations and Social Change.
In his current role, Dr Sabani provides strategic leadership across program development, academic quality, and educational innovation. He works closely with senior leaders, academic teams, students, and industry partners to shape future-focused learning, strengthen institutional capability, and contribute to university-wide governance and strategic decision-making.
Dr. Sabani has developed, coordinated, and facilitated a variety of courses across the Executive MBA, Accelerated MBA, and MBA programs, including: Business Research Design Design Thinking for Business Digital Innovation Leadership and Management Technology Futures Management of Technology and Innovation Managing Business Operations MBA Research Project People and Organisation
Dr. Alvedi Sabani's research interests lie at the intersection of Information Systems and emerging technologies, with a particular focus on harnessing the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Cloud Computing. Dr. Sabani is passionate about exploring Digital Transformation initiatives and their implications for modern organizations. His work also delves into the development of Electronic Government systems to improve public sector efficiency and transparency.
