Overview
The COLFUTURO-RMIT is jointly funded by RMIT and the Foundation for the Future of Colombia (COLFUTURO) and aims to provide further financial assistance to talented Colombian students who want to pursue Masters and PhD programs at RMIT.
Value and duration
This scholarship provides:
- RMIT UP Academic English Bursary for Latin American students if you are required to study ELICOS
- 100% discount on tuition fees for up to 6 eligible students for 3 years of a PhD program (with a possible extension to 3.5 years) or 2 years of a Masters by Research program (with no possibility of extension).
- 20% reduced tuition fee for Master by Coursework program in any discipline.
COLFUTURO provides up to a total amount of USD 50,000 to cover remaining tuition fees, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), living costs and other related costs.
Number of scholarships available
Scholarships will be distributed evenly across RMIT's three Colleges:
- Two (2) for STEM College
- Two (2) for College of Design and Social Context
- Two (2) for College of Business.
Eligibility for the scholarship
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- be a citizen of Colombia
- have an offer for a Masters or PhD program at RMIT
- be an awardee of the COLFUTURO scholarship-loan
- commence full-time enrolment as an onshore international student.
How to apply
Step 1: Check the scholarship dates
Check on the scholarship application opening and closing dates.
Step 2: Apply to RMIT
Submit your application to study a Masters by Coursework or Research degree at RMIT.
Step 3: Submit your scholarship application
Upon receiving an offer from RMIT, submit an application for the COLFUTURO scholarship-loan scheme.
After you apply
Selected beneficiaries of the COLFUTURO scholarship-loan scheme will then be considered for the discount through the COLFUTURO-RMIT joint scholarship.
