RMIT University is proud of its longstanding partnership with the Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS).
Funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), this scholarship aims to promote knowledge, education links and enduring ties between Australia and its international neighbours.
Students from eligible developing countries are given the opportunity to undertake full-time undergraduate or postgraduate study, research and professional development in Australia. This experience aims to develop the knowledge and skills of future leaders, who can drive positive change and contribute to development in their own countries.

“The best part of studying at RMIT for me is being part of the city culture and attending ongoing exhibitions, events, and symposiums, where I learn about the industry, design firms, their practices, and current debates. I genuinely appreciate the studio culture in the Design Hub and working in a shared workspace.”
- Shuvra Das, Master of Landscape Architecture student and AAS recipient
“My studies at RMIT, with their practical focus, along with the opportunity to connect with professionals from all over the world, have really broadened my views on leadership and project management. I’m confident that the knowledge I’ve gained at RMIT will help me make a meaningful contribution to my community.”
- Somsouk Vangxuexa, Master of Project Management student and AAS recipient
“During my Master's studies, I made many friends and built lasting relationships. These friendships have continued to support me to this day—one friend even helped me secure a job in Australia. I am currently a Member of Parliament in Mongolia, working on legislation to introduce a competitive electricity market. After completing my doctoral studies, I joined Middleton Group in Australia. Both my academic and professional experiences have been instrumental in my efforts to lead the transition to a competitive and green energy sector in Mongolia.”
- Enkhtsetseg Munkhchuluun, Master of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) student and AAS recipient
