Overview

Medibank is the preferred OSHC provider for RMIT international students. This grant is available to international students which can contribute towards your cost of living.

Value and benefits

For 2026 commencement this scholarship provides:

  • The total value of the grant is AU$2,000, one-off payment to be paid to student's Australian bank account after the first census date.
  • Industry experience opportunity with Medibank.

Number of scholarships available

Up to fifteen (15) scholarships are available.

Eligibility for the scholarship

Eligibility

In order to qualify for this scholarship you must:

  • have a valid offer letter to commence in any Vocational Education (VE), Ass Deg, Bachelor, or Master by coursework program (excluding Higher Degree by Research) in Semester 2, 2026 intake.
  • be an international student holding a valid student visa or plan to apply for a student visa prior to the program commencement
  • not be an existing RMIT student

Terms and conditions

  • This scholarship is not refundable
  • Successful applicants will be invited for the Induction Session, where they will be given a guided tour of Medibank Head Office, they will also have the opportunity to attend Medibank workshops, participate in event-coordination for Medibank on Open Day, meet recent graduates working at Medibank and be involved in a customer focus group.
  • This scholarships is only available to non-existing RMIT student.
  • This scholarship is only available for programs listed at International Programs and Fees
  • RMIT International or Medibank may profile scholarship recipients.
  • Applicants should not be a recipient of any other scholarship covering tuition fees (applicants currently in receipt of a scholarship loan may be considered).
  • Successful applicants will be notified; unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted.
  • The scholarships will be offered on a rolling basis until exhausted.

How to apply

Step 1: Choose your course

Select an eligible VE, associate or bachelor degree, or master by coursework.

Step 2: Apply to RMIT

Submit your application to study at RMIT.

Step 3: Complete an expression of interest

Upon receiving an offer from RMIT, submit an expression of interest for the Medibank Student Success Grant.

After you apply

Selected beneficiaries of the Medibank Student Success Grant will then be considered and nominated for the grant. Make sure you accept the offer within the deadline.
