Overview

This bursary provides financial assistance to international students studying in the College of Design and Social Context (DSC).

Value and duration

The total value of the bursary is a AU$5,000, one-off payment towards future tuition fees to be paid after the first census date into student's university account.

Number of scholarships available

Thirty (30) scholarships are available for Semester 2 2026.

Eligibility for the scholarship

Eligibility

In order to qualify for this scholarship you must:

  • be an international student holding a valid student visa or plan to apply for a student visa prior to the program commencement
  • have existing offer letter (full or conditional offer) and be commencing student in Semester 2 2026 intake in any programs under College of Design and Social Context (excluding Master by Research or PhD)
  • achieve Australian equivalent grade GPA of 2.0 or 60% average or ATAR 60 in your qualifying qualification at the time of application
  • not be an existing RMIT student (including RMIT Vietnam students)
  • not be receiving another RMIT-funded scholarship or external sponsorship covering tuition fees
  • submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).

Terms and conditions

  • The bursary is only applicable to tuition fees and non refundable.
  • Bursary selection is based on academic merit.
  • The bursary will be revoked if you no longer hold a student visa.
  • The bursary is only applicable to the eligible program(s)  on your initial offer letter.
  • This bursary cannot be deferred to next intake.
  • Successful applicants will be notified. If you do not receive an outcome, your application has not been successful.
  • The bursary will be revoked if you are granted any other RMIT funded scholarship or Australia Awards scholarship covering tuition fees
  • Applicants should not be in receipt of any other RMIT funded scholarship or Australia Awards scholarship covering tuition fees (applicants under foreign government scholarships e.g. LPDP, MARA are eligible).
  • It's important to note that this bursary has limited availability and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure your bursary you must accept your offer and make a deposit payment within 14 days from the date of offer letter.

Step 1: Choose your course

Select a course available for Semester 2 2026.

Step 2: Complete your application

Submit your application to study at RMIT.

Step 3: Accept your offer

Your offer will be issued with the discount applied (subject to availability).

Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)

You must have an offer letter before you submit an EOI.

If you are successful, you will receive an offer letter with the scholarship details outlined.
