Prepare to lead future developments in the exciting and fast-paced field of digital design.
Digital designers create the look, sound and feel – the overall experience – of the technological systems people engage with every day. This includes everything from designing user interfaces and digital services, to decoding data and telling stories through motion graphics, composing the sound design and music that scores our lives, and creating 3D and immersive simulations and environments. Digital design brings creativity together with technological experimentation, problem solving, collaboration and communication.
The Bachelor of Digital Design emphasises design processes and methods, production management, and creative direction, putting the human in the loop with the technologies we rely on. You’ll build the confidence and skills to work imaginatively and critically with emerging technologies from a strong base of design practice and technical knowledge.
From a grounding in critical, creative and collaborative skills, develop your creative practice through one of four majors.
Focus on specialist expertise or unique interdisciplinary skill sets through combining your major with a chosen minor, from this list or one of the many other options.
Develop robust technical capabilities through technique-focused subjects, before bringing your skills together in studio experiences, where you’ll respond to challenges in specific contexts.
Position yourself professionally by developing a creative practice and completing a capstone project. Here, you’ll collaborate on real-world briefs with industry partners, preparing you for future projects and workplaces shaped by digital transformation and tomorrow's technologies.
