Join Wild Hope author Claire Scobie and Regen Melbourne CEO Kaj Löfgren in conversation with Chris Speed Director of the Regenerative Futures Institute for an evening of stories, conversation and hands-on hope, shaped by everyone in the room.

We'll explore what becomes possible when people stop waiting for perfect solutions and start changing things from the ground up.

Travelling from Gumbaynggirr Country to Bristol, Belfast and Melbourne, Claire's new book Wild Hope tells the stories of people and communities already creating different futures – from people-owned energy to First Nations language revival and the push to make Birrarung swimmable again.

This won't just be a book launch or a conversation from the stage. Come ready to take part and share where wild hope is emerging in your own life, work and community.

This event is part of the Energy Futures events season presented by the RMIT Regenerative Futures Institute.

Speakers

Dr Claire Scobie

Dr Claire Scobie is the award-winning author of Last Seen in Lhasa, an enduring classic about Tibet, a facilitator and a voice for regenerative change. Through her company Wordstruck, she helps organisations uncover the stories that shape their work and the change they want to make in the world. Wild Hope: Stories of Living and Leading in Uncertain Times is her fifth book. She lives on Gadigal Country and loves birds.

Kaj Löfgren

Kaj Löfgren (pronounced Kai) is the founder and CEO of Regen Melbourne, a platform for ambitious collaboration, in service of Greater Melbourne. Formed at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Regen Melbourne aims to drive systems-level collaboration through a portfolio of Earthshots and through an action-research platform, the Systems Lab.

Chris Speed

Chris Speed is Director of the Regenerative Futures Institute and Professor of Design for Regenerative Futures at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. At RMIT, Chris leads Australia's first dedicated regenerative futures institute, bringing together 37 Regenerative Futures Fellows across all schools and colleges to transform how we educate for and research regenerative systems.
