About

I am Xinshu Li, currently a Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant Professor in North America) in the School of Computing Technologies at RMIT University. I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of New South Wales under the supervision of Prof. Lina Yao, and previously received my Master’s degree from Fudan University and Bachelor’s degree from Zhejiang University. Before joining RMIT, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Macquarie University.

My research focuses on the theory and applications of causal inference, such as embodied AI, healthcare and other areas, aiming to build trustworthy and generalizable AI systems. My work has been published in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences such as KDD, AAAI, ACM MM, and ICDM. I also serve as a reviewer for leading venues including NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, KDD, and CIKM. I’m always open to collaborations and discussions in causal inference and trustworthy AI.
