Foundation Academic Scholarships

This scholarship provides financial assistance to high achieving Foundation Studies international students

Value and duration

The total value of the scholarship is AU$5,000, one-off payment towards future tuition fee to be paid after the first census date into student's university account.

Number of scholarships available

Twenty five (25) scholarships are available for semester 2, 2024

Eligibility

In order to qualify for this scholarship you must:

  • be a citizen of Cambodia, China (excl SARs), Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam. If you are applying from Australia, you are eligible to apply as a citizen of any country.
  • be applying from Cambodia, China (excl SARs), Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam or Australia (onshore)
  • be an international student holding a valid student visa or plan to apply for a student visa prior to the program commencement
  • have existing offer letter (full or conditional offer) and be commencing student in July 2024 intake in any stream of Foundation Studies program
  • submit Expression of Interest (EOI)
  • not be an existing Foundation Studies student

How to apply

  1. Select an eligible program
  2. Submit an application to study at RMIT
  3. Submit Expression of Interest (EOI) 
  4. If you are successful, you will receive an offer letter with the scholarship details outlined.

Terms and conditions

  • The scholarship is only applicable for tuition fees and is not refundable.
  • The scholarship is only applicable to the eligible program(s) and duration on your initial offer letter.
  • Applicants with ELICOS packaged offer may be eligible. However, they must commence the eligible program in July 2024 intake.
  • The scholarship cannot be deferred to another year/intake and must be used for the intake you have been offered it for.
  • Scholarship selection is based on academic merit.
  • Successful applicants will be notified; unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted.
  • Applicants should not be in receipt of any other external scholarship or government funded sponsorship covering tuition fees (applicants who are awarded either the English to Foundation Studies Pathway Bursary or South East Asia Foundation Studies Bursary are eligible for this scholarship). 
  • The scholarships will be offered on a rolling basis until exhausted.
