International students are an important and valued part of the RMIT community.

RMIT University is excited to welcome international students to study at its campuses in 2026 and beyond.

The Australian Government has increased the number of places available for new international students in 2026, making studying in Australia easier. However, competition for places at leading Australian universities remains strong, so we encourage you to apply to RMIT as early as possible.

If you're considering studying at RMIT, please apply as early as possible. Early application helps ensure you have enough time for visa arrangements and maximises your chances of studying next semester.

Once you start your studies at RMIT, you will be warmly welcomed as an international student. You will join a multicultural and multi-faith community, made up of students from over 196 different countries who call RMIT their home away from home.
