Property students put their knowledge and skills to the test at the 2026 RMIT Case Competition Campus Finals, held at RMIT's City Campus on 25 June.
The annual competition, delivered in partnership with PropConnex during Semester 1 and also offered as an elective course, attracted a record number of participants this year with over 60 participants. Students competed across two stages throughout the semester, culminating in six outstanding finalist teams presenting at the Campus Finals.
The competition provides students with valuable industry experience that helps distinguish them in the graduate employment market. This year's case challenged teams to develop a business strategy for a commercial property portfolio in Brisbane's CBD, requiring teams to present innovative recommendations to maximise asset value.
Dr Wejen Reddy said the Campus Finals provided students with a unique opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals.
"It was great to have industry leaders from across the property and investment sectors attend to share their perspectives and feedback, creating an incredible networking opportunity for our students."
The standard of competition was exceptionally high, with all six finalist teams demonstrating strong analytical, strategic and presentation skills. Congratulations to every student who participated and contributed to such an impressive showcase of emerging property talent.

A six-member team from the competition was selected to represent RMIT at the 2026 PropConnex ANZ Real Estate Case Competition in Sydney. The top two teams from the Sydney competition will earn an all-expenses-paid trip to compete at the 2026 Cornell PropConnex Global Competition in New York City.
