Students from RMIT University are increasingly seizing the opportunity to take their studies global, particularly through programs in Europe. At the School of Property, Construction and Project Management, students can spend a semester overseas, gaining invaluable academic and professional experience in new cultural contexts. One of the most exciting opportunities available is the European Project Semester (EPS) — a 12-week program that brings together students from universities across Europe to collaborate on simulated, multidisciplinary projects.
Held at various institutions across Europe, including Spain, The Netherlands, the UK and Germany, EPS offers a real-world project environment where students practice leadership, communication, and technical skills in diverse, international teams. For many RMIT students, this program is a gateway to global industry exposure and personal growth. EPS originated from a recognition that higher education faces challenges such as sustainability, our mental health and globalization, and that gathering an international team to experience case study learning in a new context enhances a student’s work readiness. Through international study and industry support, RMIT students are equipped with the knowledge, adaptability, and cultural intelligence needed to thrive in the global workforce.
To support this transformative experience, Employers of Choice are invited to provide scholarships that help students cover the costs associated with participating in EPS. These contributions not only ease the financial burden for students but also demonstrate an industry commitment to developing the next generation of globally minded project managers.
The amount of the scholarship can be negotiated, and sponsors can participate in the selection process and also have the opportunity to provide an internship post exchange experience if they would like to. If you are interested in supporting students engaging in the EPS, please email Daniel.mclinden@rmit.edu.au for more information.
