Prospective candidates should first contact the supervisory team to confirm suitability for the project. Applicants must meet the RMIT University PhD admission requirements. For details, place visit How to apply.
Applicants should include a CV, academic transcripts, and a brief statement outlining research interests and relevant experience. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to interview.
This PhD project is suited to candidates with an interest in skeletal muscle physiology, extracellular vesicle signalling, and molecular mechanisms of chronic disease. Training will include cell culture, EV isolation and characterisation, miRNA analysis, redox and mitochondrial assays, and translational biomarker approaches. Opportunities for translational exposure through the Northern Health–RMIT Clinical Translational Research Partnership (CTRP) may be available.
