City campus recreational spaces

Location Description
eSport & Gaming Hub
(Building 28, level 3)
A dedicated space for esports and games at the Melbourne City campus, with state-of-the-art facilities and a thriving community of teams and clubs.
Student Life Hub
(Building 12, level 4)
Home of Kirrip Place, where you can meet the Kirrip team, join fun and engaging activities, and relax and connect with other students.
Alumni Courtyard The Alumni courtyard is a large, open outdoor area framed by the bluestone walls of the Old Melbourne Gaol that was on the site since the 1840s. RMIT hosts many of its functions and events in the courtyard and is used as a gathering spot for students, staff and the wider community.  
A’Beckett Square BBQ or sports courts

Two half-courts, one full-court set-up for basketball and one full-court set-up for netball. It also features BBQ facilities, table tennis and outdoor seating.

The Cave
(Building 78)

A large, fun event space on the Carlton campus. During the day, it’s a chilled-out student lounge – perfect for relaxing, playing games, heating up lunch or hanging out between classes.

After hours, Building 78 transforms into ‘RUSU After Dark’, a bookable vibrant space for all kinds of student and student club events, meetups, and celebrations. 

Open Monday to Sunday: 7am–9pm

Active Hub A great value fitness centre on City campus that offers a gym, personal trainers and dynamic functional space.

Bundoora recreational spaces

Location Description
 Full court Located next to building 252.
RMIT Sports Centre Privately operated, RMIT Sports Centre provides quality indoor and outdoor sports facilities and services for students, staff and local community. Organised activities require a facility booking. 
The Pulse (Building 204) The Pulse is a versatile event space at Bundoora West, frequently used for student facing community gatherings and celebrations. It's a large, open space that includes a pool table, table tennis table, a TV, mini kitchenette, and courtyard.

 M Pavilion MPavilion is an innovative three-layered marquee positioned at the heart of the central courtyard on our Brunswick campus.
