You will learn in specialised studios specifically designed for each of the specialisation areas.
You will be taught by professional practising artists and educators who have a wide range of industry knowledge and experience.
The advanced diploma is a more specialised qualification that will give you more complex skills and knowledge. It also requires a higher level of personal accountability.
Assessment for both qualifications is folio based, with major emphasis on the production of a folio of work that reflects your personal creativity. The folio will display a sequential development, with emphasis on the acquisition of skills and the adaptation of those skills to the production of artworks with a sound personal philosophical base.
Facilities/equipment include:
- Studios and workshops for printmaking, painting, sculpture, photography and drawing
- MAC lab.
This qualification also offers strong links to the arts industry, gallery tours and exhibitions, guest speakers and visiting arts practitioners.
Blended learning options
Courses offered as part of blended learning programs include a meaningful blend of online, on-campus, and workplace based learning tailored to the type of study you undertake. This learning is active, prioritising tasks that involve exploration and development of skills and knowledge through interaction and engagement.
Online aspects provide positive benefits such as flexibility and adaptability using digital activities and materials, while also strengthening the interaction and connection with timetabled and on-campus experiences such as tutorials, practicals, or workshops.
