BUILDING
Building 8
This colourful, awarding-winning building houses our Library and School of Architecture and Design. It also houses the RMIT Counselling & Psychological Services on Level 4 - Calm Zone. It’s a Swanston Street landmark that has set the standard for our modern buildings since the 1990s.
Built in 1993 over the unfinished Union Building, 360 Swanston Street helped put RMIT on the map as a university of modern architecture and design. It’s an eclectic mix of brightly coloured stone and mosaics with protruding gold-framed windows whose shapes reference the gothic style of our older city campus buildings.
