What can I do with a degree in psychology?
There’s a world of options for people interested in the life of the mind.
Several RMIT psychology degrees are accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council and can lead to national and international registration as a psychologist.
You’ll have access to up to 132 days of industry placement in real-world settings. You’ll gain experience in settings such as hospitals, clinics or justice organisations – all before you’ve graduated.
In our Bachelor of Psychology, you can try a mix of electives before you decide where to specialise.
Psychology is the study of the mind, and at RMIT, you’re given the chance to unpack the science of human behaviour in your own way. Our recently updated bachelor programs give you access to new minors and an innovative course structure that allows more flexibility in your study, while giving you the skills to excel in various specialisations.
Psychology is a broad field with many areas of specialisation including counselling, sport psychology, educational psychology, organisational psychology and forensic psychology. Pursue a career as a clinical psychologist, diagnosing and treating mental health problems, or apply your skills to a range of community and workplace settings such as hospitals, government departments, universities and community health centres.

Postgraduate psychology students are invited to gain practical experience as an intern at the RMIT Psychology Clinic. This hands-on clinical experience with real clients prepares you for professional practice.
