Throughout your studies in the Master of Business Analytics and AI Strategy, you will learn and apply the critical thinking, research and communication skills required of senior DSA leaders. You will gain knowledge of the strategic, analytical and technological influences on data teams and technology, and develop the decision-making capabilities needed to manage people, teams and technology to maximise the value of data sets through activity-based learning.
On successful completion of this course, you will be to able identify and balance business priorities and leverage analysis to create data-driven findings. You will utilise relationship management strategies to manage stakeholder expectations, and demonstrate leadership in designing sustainable enterprise business architecture solutions for data management, including governance, storage, processing, analytics and visualisation.
You will use evidence-based, research-informed approaches to evaluate, select and justify analysis solutions, and define, assess and evaluate business problems to articulate analytical needs and create relevant solutions.
The Master of Business Analytics and AI Strategy consists of 12 core subjects across 4 stages, including a capstone project and 4 electives. You can tailor your degree by either choosing one of 5 available minors: Accounting for Commerce, Digital Transformation, Sustainable Enterprise, Project Management, or Supply Chain Automation or by selecting 4 elective subjects from a curated list.
In your first stage, you'll build a strong foundation through subjects such as Business Analytics, Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics in Business, Visualising and Communicating Insights in Business, and Digital Strategy. These subjects will equip you with essential analytical and strategic skills to prepare you for the next stage.
At this stage, you'll deepen your expertise with subjects such as AI and Analytics for Business Applications, Data Architecture, Ethics and Governance, Foundations of People Analytics, and Financial Analytics for Managerial Decisions. These subjects will help you develop practical, in-demand skills in AI, data governance, and analytics for decision-making.
You'll explore leadership and strategy through subjects such as Leading in the Age of Digital Disruption and AI Strategy for Business Transformation. You’ll also study 2 additional subjects, either from your chosen minor or from the elective list, giving you the opportunity to personalise your learning pathway.
In your final stage, you’ll complete your capstone experience with subjects such as Machine Learning for Business Professionals and Analytics and AI in Practice. You'll also study 2 additional subjects, either from your minor (to complete your minor requirements) or from the elective list, depending on the path you’ve chosen to graduate with.
