Year 1
You will be introduced to project management in the construction and property industries, providing the context for the following 3 years. You will learn basic project management skills and gain an understanding of the different types of buildings and assets, how they are created, and how they are acquired.
Year 2
You will study project management processes and techniques in greater depth, learning how to plan, cost and schedule projects. Building broader skills in areas like law, economics and leadership will prepare you to become an industry leader.
Year 3
Year 3 broadens your focus and looks at project management in other industries, building core knowledge and skills. You will gain a deeper understanding of how to manage complex projects, and undertake a research methods course which will build the foundation for your research project in year 4.
Year 4
The theme of your final year is ’moving to practice', preparing you to be industry-ready. You will gain advanced skills and insights into the latest industry trends. A feature of year 4 is a capstone project, where the skills and knowledge developed in the degree are applied to a realistic simulated project. You will also conduct a research project, including writing a thesis and creating a poster to present your research to industry representatives.
