Welcome from the Dean

The School of Law provides RMIT law students with an engaging learning environment, superior educational resources, quality teaching staff and strong industry connections.

Our students develop real world practical skills and engage in moots, interviewing and negotiation simulations as part of their core curriculum. We offer clinical legal education and internship electives, where students can engage with clients and conduct legal research for law reform projects.

Students can also be placed at community legal services and undertake internships at private legal firms and government agencies. There are opportunities to visit courts and shadow tribunal members, Magistrates and Judges to gain insights into legal practice.

Our staff are committed to providing and supporting high quality teaching and research that prepares students for their careers and we strive to help them achieve their goals and make an immediate difference, whether they are new graduates or established legal practitioners expanding their skills.
