International students who meet criteria

This scholarship, valued at AU$10,000, is available to citizens of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia who are commencing a coursework degree at RMIT University.

Value and benefits

  • The total value of the scholarship is AU$10,000, one-off payment towards future tuition fees to be paid after the first census date into student's university account.

Eligibility

In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • be a citizen of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan or Mongolia
  • be applying offshore from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan or Mongolia
  • be an international student holding a valid student visa or plan to apply for a student visa prior to the course commencement
  • achieve an Australian equivalent grade GPA of 3.0 (put of 4.0) or 80% average in your qualifying qualification at the time of application
  • hold an unconditional offer letter to commence studies in Bachelor’s degree, or Masters by Coursework degree in in Semester 1, 2027 intake
  • not be an existing RMIT University student.

Terms and conditions

  • The scholarship is only applicable to tuition fees and non-refundable.
  • Scholarship selection is based on academic merit.
  • The scholarship will be revoked if you no longer hold a student visa.
  • The scholarship is only applicable to the eligible course(s) on your initial offer letter.
  • This scholarship cannot be deferred to next intake.
  • Successful applicants will be notified. If you do not receive an outcome, your application has not been successful.
  • Successful applicants may be invited to participate and get involved in the RMIT Melbourne Open Day.
  • The scholarship will be revoked if you are granted any other RMIT funded scholarship or Australia Awards scholarship covering tuition fees.
  • Applicants should not be in receipt of any other RMIT or Australian funded scholarships covering tuition fees  including foreign government scholarships.
  • It's important to note that this scholarship has limited availability and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure your scholarship you must accept your offer and make a deposit payment within 14 days from the date of offer letter.
