The School of Engineering has industry advisory committees and strong links are maintained with industry, organisations and government departments.
As members, employers and professionals have contributed to the development and ongoing improvement of this degree. Their involvement ensures that the degree remains relevant to your needs as a graduate, and to the needs of your future employers.
Many of the teaching staff are, or have been, practising industry professionals with extensive experience and contact networks. When integrated into teaching and learning practice, this enriches your learning environment and networks.
These networks are further enhanced by the School's Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program, which gives you the opportunity to experience project-based teaching modes once you move into your specialised degree, as well as opportunities for industry placements.
You may also be able to undertake an industry-sponsored project in your final year.
